Ring and Ride Service update - November 2020

From Thursday 5 November, everyone in England should stay at home as much as possible and not mix with other households to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Travel to work, education and to do essential shopping is allowed and the Ring and Ride service will remain operating safely to support you Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 3.30pm. We are very sorry that for the time being there will be no service on Sundays.

When can I travel?

  • Travelling to work, where you can't work from home
  • Travelling to education and for caring responsibilities
  • Hospital, GP and other medical appointments or visits
  • Visiting venues that are open, including essential retail
  • Exercise outside, if you need to make a short journey to do so

The Government has issued updated guidance for everyone in England who has been identified as clinically extremely vulnerable. If you are in this group, you will previously have received a letter from the NHS or from your GP telling you this. You may have been advised to shield in the past and whilst you are not being advised to shield at the current time, you should avoid all non-essential travel by private or public transport. This includes not travelling to work, school or the shops. You should still travel to hospital and GP appointments unless told otherwise by your doctor.

In line with Government COVID secure guidelines we have introduced new safety measures to keep you safe when travelling with us, including limiting the number of passengers we can carry at any time.
